Grades

Course and test grades will be awarded as follows:

A: Honors, 4 points
B: Pass, 3 points

The instructor determines the student‘s final grade. Course grades are placed on student transcripts immediately upon their submission by faculty, rather than at the end of a trimester as in most other institutions.

If a student fails to receive a grade of A or B for a course, for whatever reason (poor test performance, missing an examination, or failure to turn in an assignment), a “No Credit” (NC) indication will appear in the record.

The NC is removed once it has been replaced with an A or a B through completion of course requirements, arranged accordingly with the course faculty member.

An NC in the record is not used in calculating grade point averages; it simply means “no credit,” regardless of the reason, and is not considered to be a “failing” grade.

Official grade reports are sent to students through their e-campus message account. Only the final grade is recorded on the permanent record. Appeals for grade changes must be filed within 30 calendar days of the issuance of grades and must be done in accordance with the School’s grievance procedures.

TRANSCRIPTS

Requests for transcripts are made by completing, electronically signing, and submitting by email the school Transcript Request Form. Transcripts can be emailed, faxed, or sent by US mail as specified by the student.

There is a $15.00 charge for each transcript. The first official transcript requested after graduation is issued free of charge. Payment for transcripts may be made by check, credit/debit card, PayPal. Checks are to be made payable to the Graduate School of Breathing Sciences.

The Transcript Request Form requires the following information:

● Full name – including name(s) used when in attendance (if different from current name)
● Current address
● Social security number, or student ID number and date of birth (for verification purposes)
● Graduation date or dates of attendance
● Address where the transcript is to be sent
● Contact information (phone and email)
● Physical (or electronic) signature and date of request
